Celebrating the Fall of the Berlin Wall: 20 Years Later 2:00pm - 5:00pm Category : Holidays/Special Events Location : Barret 051 The German Program at Rhodes College will host a celebration of the fall of the wall dividing East and West Berlin. Free and open to the public, the event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. in Barret 051. The program includes: * A panel discussion with Germans from the Memphis area who were in Germany when the wall fell * A “then and now” slide show illustrating how much has changed since the wall and the inner-German border were dismantled * A presentation on the “East Side Gallery,” a section of the wall that is still standing and on which various artists have painted their vision of the wall.
