Rhodes' Communities in Conversation Series will present a discussion of the Ottoman conquest and occupation of Jerusalem on Nov. 27, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. in Blount Auditorium, Buckman Hall at Rhodes. Free and open to the public, the lecture will feature Dr. Amy Singer, Professor of Ottoman and Turkish History at Tel Aviv University. Singer is the author of multiple works on Ottoman society and culture, including Palestinian Peasants and Ottoman Officials: Rural Administration around Sixteenth-Century Jerusalem.
