   Screening of "Seeds of Times" Documentary Featuring Agriculture Pioneer Cary Fowler '71

   Event Description :

Rhodes will present a screening of "Seeds of Time," a documentary by filmmaker Sandy McLeod that traces the journey of scientist, conservationist and agricultural pioneer Cary Fowler as he races against time to protect the future of our food. Free and open to the public, the event begins at 7:30 p.m. in Blount Auditorium of Buckman Hall.

Fowler, who graduated from White Station High School and attended Rhodes College, currently serves on the Rhodes Board of Trustees. He is the former executive director of Global Crop Diversity Trust, an independent international organization which exists to ensure the conservation and availability of crop diversity for food security worldwide. He also founded the Svalbard Global Seed Vault in Norway.
