Voices of the South's third annual Memphis Children's Theatre Festival will be held at McCoy Theatre. The festival includes theatre performances, storytelling, singers, clowns, folktales from around the world, a musical theatre jam and mime show as well as workshops and fun activity stations to spark the imagination. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 23, with a "Bring Your Own Basket" picnic and strolling entertainers on the festival grounds. Beginning at 7 p.m. is "Pandora's Box and Other Greek Tales" presented by Voices of the South. It is followed by an after party with desserts and Watoto de Afrika. Tickets for Friday are $10 per person. The festival continues on May 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Theatre performances include "Aesop's Fables," "James and the Giant Peach," "The Seagoing Cowboy," "Peter and the Wolf," "The Little Prince," "The Ugly Duckling," "Rikki Tikki Tavi," "The Queen Bee," and "The House on Mango Street."
