Event Description :
| Halloween Extravaganza hosted by the Society of Physics Students. The main event will be dropping pumpkins frozen with liquid nitrogen to observe a flourescing effect called tiboluminescence.
Tiboluminescence is an optical phenomenon in which light is generated when asymmetrical crystalline bonds in a material are broken when that material is scratched, crushed, or rubbed.
The event will feature DJ Hollywood and physics demos such as the amazing ten foot singing flames! Laser show! Fractal Show! Fire Breathing Pumpkins! A Fire Tornado! A Flame Thrower! |
