Political strategist Karl Rove will speak to the Rhodes student body about American politics. The lecture, presented by the Student Lecture Board at Rhodes and the Young America's Foundation, is open only to the Rhodes community (ticket required) and begins at 8 p.m. in the McCallum Ballroom. Rove served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to former President George W. Bush. A contributor to Fox News and columnist for the Wall Street Journal and Newsweek, he has written a book titled Courage and Consequence to be released March 2010. Rove also has taught graduate students at UT Austin’s Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. He now serves on the Board of Trustees for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation and the Texas State History Museum Foundation. |
