Dr. Jason Rothman of University of Reading in the United Kingdom will present "Bilingualism and Cognition: An Overview and Links to Practical Application." He is a professor of multilingualism and clinical language sciences.

What is it about juggling more than one language that results in cognitive gains? Rotham will explore how understanding the bilingual mind and its cognitive functions can be useful to language teachers, parents, policy makers, and other interested stakeholders.

Free and open to the public, the lecture begins at 4 p.m. in Barret 051.

McComb Professor of History at Rhodes, will present a lecture concerning his recent research titled "Claude Cahun, Marcel Moore, and the Queer Politics of Resisting the Nazis." His new book is tentatively titled Soldiers With No Names: Two Women Who Fought the Nazis for Life, Love, and Art.
